What a day, but I feel so much better now that I’ve been at my sewing machine. I had to reclaim my space and kick the kitties out of my way, along with a good clean up.
Between sewing batches of blocks and cleaning, I realized that my cough wasn’t too bad! No more bloody lung slugs, I think I’m on the mend!
As you can see from the picture, the next color row is done! In fact I accidentally made 2 extra blocks.
I started the next and last set of colors, greens. This is a stack of 18, 14 more are needed before this side is finished!
This quilt isn’t something I’d choose to display in my house but I’m going to have a really hard time giving it away. Almost every scrap is a reminder of previous quilts. Some of this fabrics haven’t been seen or even thought of in years.
Like that soft green floral (not the bright) next to the black, that was a piece of fabric I bought in San Francisco. It was used for one of my first quilt shop classes. It was a paper pieced fan quilt. I just can’t remember where the quilt went to but that fabric is still a favorite, I’d buy it again if I saw it today.
I think I like the looks of blocks in the garden. These may be the last green in the yard with our water restrictions.
Time to relax and zone out in front of the TV. More episodes of “Hell on wheels” to finish.
Take care my friends, Brandie
Glad you are feeling better!
